When I did my end of year ritual, one of the things I wrote on my LET GO list was, "having an idea or image of how a thing will go and staying so attached to that image that it ruins the actual time"
Yup. That's what we're talking about. Expectations.
It's important to keep this in mind as we look at the year ahead. And don't get me wrong, this next part is going to be all about setting goals and intentions. Just make sure that as you set your goals and intentions, you allow room for TRUST and also KNOW that things are not going to look exactly how you imagine.
And sometimes they might be better!
Pro tip - when ever I'm writing my Gratintention practice, I always say to the universe, "Thank you for making it even better than I could have imagined" it works!

Ok. Goals and intentions.Â
One of my favorite things to do around this time is to take a look at the entire year ahead. I'm visual, so I use paper calendar months pinned tp on a huge whiteboard. When I see it all at a glance, I can see the big things to work around; school breaks, trips, seasons, holidays...
This usually sparks some ideas of things I'd like to create. Which leads to setting goals.
Here's what works:
đ Seeing the whole year helps you set goals.
đ Having a couple goals for the month helps you to stay on track.Â
đ USING PENCIL for all of it allows you to make changes WHEN things aren't as you thought the would be.Â
You got this!
2023!!!!!! We have arrived!
Love you,
Anne
